ORDERING INFORMATION
EASY, SECURE ORDERING |

Our website is our main sales channel. It's also the fastest and most accurate way for us to get your orders shipped. Ordering online allows us to apply more of our automated processes, and in turn helps us to better serve all of our customers. We strongly encourage customers to place orders through our website whenever possible.
Our customers with open Net-30 credit accounts are welcome to use the site, send their Purchase Orders via email, or to call in their orders.
For customers that want to call us, our telephone "Orderline" hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. Our ordertakers will need you to provide our specific "Model" Numbers; please have those numbers ready. (Every item on the website has our Model Number listed in the "Model" column to the left of the item's description.)
Our minimum order is $25.00 worth of merchandise.
Most orders are shipped via UPS Ground Service within 3 business days (and usually sooner.) For orders placed through our website, tracking information will be sent via email as soon as available. With the exception of orders where UPS Expedited services were arranged, delivery/ETA info is generally unavailable before the 3-day processing period passes.
For Customer Service questions, quotes on non-stock items, or other information, please send us an email. Our telephone order-takers are not customer service agents.

FINDING ITEMS |
|
Our Indexes makes finding tools fast and easy. There's a "Product Index" link in the top right and an "Alphabetical Index" link in the upper left areas of all our pages (they are the same function.) These indexes are our own favorite way to navigate the site.
On our Homepage, the "Category menu" header pop-ups (and their links) help you see more related options at once, if you prefer.
There is also a search box in the upper left of every page- it works well, and we are constantly working to improve its functionality.

CUSTOMER SERVICE QUESTIONS |

Please email us for Customer Service questions, quotes on non-stock items, or other information. Our telephone order-takers are not customer service agents.
Our telephone order-takers do not have access to most system information, and they will ask you to send us an email for Customer Service help. In almost every case, this is the only way we will be able to answer your questions.

WEBSITE FEATURES |
|
Guest Checkout: It is not necessary to register with our site in order to make purchases from our online store; just ignore/skip the 'Login' fields on the checkout page for easy 'Guest' checkout.
If you do register with the website, we will save your shipping information on our server, and protect it with a password. Your stored personal information is protected by our privacy policy.

CHARGE CARDS |

We accept MASTER CARD, VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS and
DISCOVER.
Card Security Codes:
For Discover, MasterCard, Visa cards: we will need the last 3 digits printed on the signature strip on the back of these cards.
For American Express cards: we will need the 4 digits on the front (upper right) of the card.
We do NOT save your credit card information. You will need to provide your card number each time you order.
We reserve the right to require payment by wire transfer in advance.

OPEN ACCOUNTS |
|
We maintain Net-30 credit accounts for qualifying customers.
If you wish to establish an open account, please provide names, phone numbers, and fax numbers of three trade references and your bank. We can email you a credit application if you prefer.
We accept written (or emailed) purchase orders from most schools and government agencies.
Terms for all open accounts are NET-30 DAYS.

SALES TAX |
|
Sales Tax will not appear at checkout, but will be added to your invoice.
If you have proper Sales Tax Exempt documentation, you may provide it to us for approval via email. If we accept the documention, we will not collect sales tax.
We must have this documentation before we process your order. We cannot refund sales tax after an order has shipped.
Customers in states other than Michigan may have an obligation to self-report and pay sales or use taxes to their state.

SHIPPING INFO |
|
All orders are F.O.B Warren MI, F.O.B Tulsa OK, F.O.B Hackensack NJ (or F.O.B. factory, if drop shipped).
UPS Ground is our default shipping service for most orders with a shipping weight under 70lbs.* Please provide a physical Street Address for shipping.
UPS Expedited shipping services (Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, or 3-Day Select) are available; please request through the "Comments" box at checkout. We will generally ask customers to approve an emailed quote before we ship using these more expensive services.
We can ship using UPS Collect service to destinations in the U.S.A., thereby billing shipping charges to your UPS account; please request through the "Comments" box at checkout and we will adjust your invoice before processing the order. We must be able to validate a UPS account in order to bill service 'Collect.' (Please note that we may not be able to honor some "Collect" or "Third Party Billing" shipping requests. Collect Shipping is offered as a courtesy, and we will not accept chargebacks if we ship prepaid and charge shipping costs.)
For customers in ALASKA and HAWAII: we offer USPS Priority Mail shipping; please request through the "Comments" box at checkout. Our cart will still calculate/show UPS Ground rates for AK/HI, but we will adjust your invoice before processing the order.
For customers in Puerto Rico: our default service to PR is USPS Priority Mail. UPS Ground service is available upon request or at our discretion. (Note that our cart will return a "0" shipping cost for PR orders, but we will calculate a cost and email a shipping quote before we process an order. We do not offer free shipping.)
Orders to APO/FPO locations will be shipped using insured USPS Priority Mail.
We do not ship to USPS PO Boxes in the lower 48 US states; we require a Street Address for UPS delivery, please.
Special packing requirements or multiple boxes:
There are orders that require special or additional packaging, and in some of these cases we will need to quote additional shipping charges. We'll contact you with cost via email before we process these orders.
*Truck / Freight shipment charges:
Some orders between 70-150lbs and ALL orders over 150lbs will be shipped as Truck / Freight shipments. The cost for these shipments will be quoted via email before order processing. (Note that our cart will return a "0" shipping cost for orders over 150lbs, but we will calculate a shipping cost and quote before we process an order. We do not offer free shipping.)

EXPORT ORDERS |
|
We are sorry, but we have suspended export shipments.
We will resume export sales as soon as possible.

RETURNS |
|
Most items are eligible for return within 30 days of purchase.
For Return Authorization requests, please send us an email with your VME Invoice/Web Order number and your contact information. Restocking charges might apply. All returned items must be in any original packaging and in unused, unmarked condition, with freight prepaid by customer.
Fluids, cut-to-length bandsaw blades, "made-to-order" tooling, and "special order" items are final sale and cannot be returned.

IN CASE OF ERROR/SHORTAGE OR DAMAGE IN TRANSIT |
|
Errors, etc.: If you receive a shipment with an error or a shortage, we apologize for the trouble. In your email to us, please tell us your VME Invoice/Web Order number along with your contact information, and let us know what happened. We'll do our best to get the problem fixed as quickly as possible.
Damage: If you receive a shipment with visible exterior damage and you have the chance to do so, please report the damage to your delivery driver before signing for the package. (For freight/LTL shipments, any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt.) Please do not discard the packaging of any damaged or short shipment: UPS will often collect damaged packaging as part of their claims process.
Please report any problems with your order to us via email as soon as possible. In all cases, shortages and damage claims must be reported within 5 days of receipt.

PRICES |

Prices are subject to change without notice.
Some quantities are limited.
We will not ship an item ordered online at a higher price without your advance approval.
We do not have a print catalog to distribute; we apologize for the trouble. (Our most recent print catalog was printed in 2013 and is for reference only.)
Not responsible for typographical or software errors.

In no case, except where prohibited by law, will our liability exceed the value of the products shipped.
