Recoil Helical Thread Repair

Inch size Recoil Helical Thread Insert Repair Kits

RECOIL stainless steel helical inserts repair damaged threaded holes.
Can be used on cast iron, steel, copper, wood, zinc, magnesium and most plastics.
Single size repair kit includes instructions, a tap (STI), inserting tool, and a supply of inserts.
Some sizes will be supplied with new-style inserting tool and drill bit.
Drill bits are otherwise not included with the recoil thread repair kits.

Metric Recoil Helical Thread Insert Repair Kits

Metric Sizes.
RECOIL stainless steel inserts repair damaged threaded holes.
Can be used on cast iron, steel, copper, wood, zinc, magnesium and most plastics.
Some sizes will be supplied with new-style inserting tool and drill bit.
Drill bits are otherwise not included.

Sparkplug size kits (12mm x 1.25 and 14mm x 1.25 include a pilotnose tap and require no drilling.
These sparkplug kits include a mix of 2 lengths of insert, not just the standard length.
Drills are not included.
Please call for sizes not listed here and quotes on bulk quantities of inserts, at a substantial discount.

Starred sizes (for which no drill size is listed) are *FOR SPARK PLUGS. These kits include pilotnose taps, no drilling is required.

STI taps for helical screw thread inserts, Class 3B.
High speed steel, plug style.
Call for sizes not listed here, including pilotnose taps for spark plug sizes!

As an example: A 1/4-20 STI tap creates the proper thread (a bit larger than 1/4-20) for installing a 1/4-20 Recoil or Helicoil insert, which will accept a 1/4-20 threaded part.
